Super antioxidants are found in fruits, vegetables and spices. Most of the lists you find on the internet have lists of the most popular antioxidants not the most powerful. Super antioxidants are rated by a test called ORAC which stands for oxygen radical absorbance capacity. Which in English translates to; the nutrients capabilities to destroy free radicals.

In short a free radical is a molecule in a cell anywhere in the human body. This cell has been damaged and given up an electron which makes it unstable. The molecule tries very hard to stabilize itself by taking electron from healthy molecules. By doing this the original unstable molecule damages more molecules. Now this goes on in the body every second of every day and the body works just fine on it’s own if it has an inflow of the proper antioxidant nutrients. If you do not give your body the proper nutrients over time the damaged molecules will outnumber the healthy corrective molecules and disease will then start in earnest.
